Verification System

Protect your server from bots and raids with Flade's verification system. New members must complete a verification step before gaining access to the server.

How It Works

  1. Set up a verification embed (with a Verify button) in a welcome or rules channel using the Embed Builder.
  2. When a new user clicks the button, they are presented with the verification challenge.
  3. Upon successful verification, the bot assigns the Verified Role, granting access to the rest of the server.

Configuration

To set up verification, go to Dashboard → Settings → Verification.

SettingDescription
Verified RoleThe role assigned to users upon successful verification. (Required)
Captcha TypeThe type of verification challenge: None (button only) or Image (image captcha).
Captcha MessageA custom message shown to users during the verification process (max 64 characters).

Captcha Types

Button Only (None)

Users simply click the Verify button — no additional challenge. This is the simplest option and deters most automated bots.

SettingDescription
Button LabelCustom label for the verification button (max 64 characters).

Image Captcha (Image)

Users must solve an image-based captcha to verify. This provides stronger protection against automated bots.

SettingDescription
DifficultyCaptcha difficulty: Easy, Medium, or Hard.
Success MessageMessage shown when the user passes the captcha (max 64 characters).
Failure MessageMessage shown when the user fails the captcha (max 64 characters).
Expired MessageMessage shown when the captcha expires (max 64 characters).

Setting Up the Verification Button

  1. Go to the Embed Builder on the Dashboard.
  2. Create or edit an embed in your welcome/verification channel.
  3. Enable the Verification Button toggle.
  4. Customize the button label and style.
  5. Send the embed — users can now click the button to verify.

Verification Logs

You can log all verification activity to a specific channel. See the Logging documentation for details.

Tips

  • Use Image Captcha with Medium or Hard difficulty for maximum bot protection.
  • Combine verification with Discord's built-in "Members must agree to rules" feature for layered security.
  • Make sure the Verified Role has the appropriate permissions — unverified users should only see the verification channel.
